Eastbury Manor House

On Thursday 3rd April, Year four had the opportunity to visit Eastbury Manor House in Barking. As part of our Creative Curriculum topic we have been learning about the Tudors and were able to experience life as a wealthy Tudor living in the countyside, outside of London.

We learned about the house and walked around it finding out about different rooms, including the beautiful gardens where vegetables and herbs are still grown. We learned about and played Tudor games as well as having the opportuinty for some children to dress up in wealthy Tudor clothing.

We all had such an excellent time on the trip, lots of us are going to tell our families about it and hopefully return so we can learn more about the Tudors and other events in British history.
