Early Years SEND Parent Coffee and Crafts

This week, the parents of children with SEND in the Early Years phase were invited to attend a Coffee and Crafts session, hosted by the SEND team. 

The purpose of the session was for parents to participate in relaxing activities and meet one another, helping them to build a support network as well as gain ideas for how to support their children at home. Parents were invited to try out a range of multi-sensory, engaging activities that can be easily replicated at home, such as making playdough, making edible sand, making pasta necklaces to develop fine motor skills and creating a stress ball to support emotional regulation.
