Early Years Parent Coffee and Conversation - Speech and Language

This week, some parents in Early Years were invited to attend a special workshop and coffee and conversation session, which was all about Speech and Language interventions. Within the session, the SEND team shared key information about strategies used in school to support children’s language development, including Nursery rhymes and choosing games, Box Clever strategies and Attention Bucket group. Within the session, parents had lots of fun participating  in active sessions and having a go at setting up engaging play activities for their children , using themes such as under the sea, the farm , at the park and the picnic. Finally, the team modelled an Attention bucket session including paint splatting!
