Deliciosa! Year 5 Spanish Food Tasting
This half term Year Five had the wonderful opportunity to taste a selection of mouthwatering Spanish food and we even had some sunshine to add to the Spanish experience!
The menu included the famous Paella from Valencia, Patatas Bravas (which translates as fierce potatoes!) and the ever popular Churros con Chocolate. Que dulce! (How sweet!)
Food is a huge part of a culture and this experience enriched the children's knowledge and sparked curiosity about Spain.
We had been learning a range of words such as taste adjectives like ‘picante’ (spicy) and expressing preferences like ‘Me gusta mucho’ (I like it a lot).
Muchas gracias to Kerry and Rachel from Juniper for preparing the food.
This has been our third collaboration and it is a successful way to enhance Spanish learning at St Stephens.
Vamos! Let’s go!
