St.Stephen's School

Choir at Christ Church Newham

On Friday 11th July, the St Stephen's Choir sang for older Newham Residents at Christ Church Newham.

We sang a selection of songs, including 'Side By Side' and 'Yesterday' which the audience knew very well. They sang along and clapped, and our singing was so beautiful it made some of the audience cry! After some squash and fruit, we chatted with the audience, found out their names and some interesting facts about them. The oldest person in the audience was 94. One women came to London from Jamaica on a famous ship called the Windrush in 1948. They would love to have us back to sing to them again.
