Charity Week
This term we had ‘Charity Week.’ All year groups studied a different charity and gained in-depth knowledge about what charities do. Children were challenged to think about why we give to charity and the impact our donations make to those less fortunate than ourselves. Some of the charities studied were ‘Great Ormond Street, Shelter and United World Schools. At the end of the week KS2 pupils took part in a debating competition to convince JLT that we should donate some of the money raised at our Summer Fayre to their charity. Year 2 pupils studied ‘Water Aid’ and wrote letters to the Queen offering her tips on how to save water at Buckingham Palace. We hope the Queen will reply.
