St.Stephen's School

Careers Evening

Christine Ohuruogo speechOn Thursday 31st January we held a Careers Evening for the pupils of Years 5 and 6 and their parents. The aim of the evening was to give pupils an opportunity to hear about careers to aspire to, as well as helping them to realise the importance of working hard at school.

An impressive variety of careers were represented by professionals from those fields. We had an army private, a doctor, a dentist, a chef, a barrister, a project manager, and two school teachers from both primary and secondary. Our very special guest speaker was Olympic athlete, Christine Ohuruogu, who was kind enough to sign autographs at the end of the evening.

A very inspirational evening was had by all, with a very strong message coming through that you can achieve anything you want to, but you need to work hard to get there!
