Bringing a taste of Spain to Year 5

Year Five had a wonderful opportunity to taste a selection of delicious Spanish food to brighten up a cold, grey and very ‘unspanish’ morning!

The menu included dishes from all over Spain including the famous Paella from Valencia, Patatas Bravas (Fierce potatoes!) and the most popular dish was the sweet Churros con Chocolate.

This experience enriched the children's knowledge and sparked curiosity about Spanish culture. They were able to describe the food using taste adjectives like ‘picante’ (Spicy) and express preferences like ‘Me gusta’ (I like).

Muchas gracias to Kerry and Rachel from Juniper for preparing the food.

And a big thank you to Sue, our Head Cook, for all her help organising this unique opportunity.

Delicioso!
