Brilliant Club

On Wednesday 21st of October 2015, a dozen lucky children visited one of the top 2 universities in the UK and the 3rd best university in the world: Oxford University. We visited St. Catherine’s College (referred to as ‘Cat’s’ by those who study there), which is one of the largest and most vast campuses within the University of Oxford. We were given a lot of information about ‘The Brilliant Club’ programme that we were participating in and were showed around the college with an undergraduate who studies Medicine in the college. We also participated in a study skills session which was held by a Cardiologist in their lecture theatre. We were told what our topic was going to be for the forthcoming weeks: we were going to be studying about the heart in biology. Our tutor was called Kayleigh Day who we interrogated about her experience at one of the most prestigious universities in the world. This was an exclusive experience that we feel privileged to have attended and are anticipated to discover when the next instalment will take place.
