Aladdin Pantomime Visit

On Wednesday 14th December Reception, Year 1, Year 2 and some members of the student council were lucky enough to go to Ilford, to see the annual Christmas pantomime. This year it was Aladdin. We travelled by coach and when we arrived we had to find our seats. We were so excited and lucky because we were the only school in the theatre!

Samah, our Year 4 student councillor, explained Aladdin is the story of a poor boy who falls in love with a beautiful princess but there was a lot of drama along the way. We met lots of colourful characters including Widow Twanky who made lots of funny jokes and we all had to boo and hiss when Abanazar, the baddie, came on stage.

Aaron in Year 2 said, “The best part was when the fireworks came on. They made a massive rattling sound and it was a big surprise!”

Ella in Year 1 said, “I liked the genie best because he was so funny!”

Ubayd in Year 1 explained, “My favourite part was when the baddie was holding a bag full of lamps and he was trying to trick everybody!”

Samah concluded, “One of the best parts was at the end when all of us had to stand up and join in with the dancing including the YMCA and the Macarena. It was brilliant!”

It was a fun filled afternoon and we were very grateful to be able to go. We want to thank Michael Finlay and Ark Build PLC for generously paying for the pantomime tickets as well as the coaches. It is very much appreciated.
