African Animal Dress Up Day

Year 2 took a walk on the wild side last week for African Animal Dress Up Day! It was fantastic to see such creative and imaginative costumes - we had enormous elephants, marvellous monkeys, gentle giraffes, cracking crocodiles and lifelike lions!. Chetan and Amy also got into the spirit, but made sure that there was no monkey business as we still had important work to do. Last week we read the African fable 'How the Elephant Got its Trunk' and getting into character helped us to write our own fables to explain how certain animals got their stripes, long necks, manes and teeth.... Can you guess who we wrote about? Watch this space for some examples of our fantastic work.

Thank you again to parents for their time and effort spent helping children get ready for the day!
