A midsummer night's dream at The Unicorn Theatre

A group of children enjoyed an exciting visit to the Unicorn Theatre to watch A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare. The trip supported our reading curriculum, with a focus on exploring rich, high-level vocabulary and developing understanding of how language can be brought to life through performance. Pupils were fascinated to see how the actors used expression, movement and staging to deliver the play in a theatre setting, helping them to understand the story and characters in a new way. It was an exciting and valuable experience that inspired a love of literature and deepened the children’s appreciation of Shakespeare’s work.
