A Cracking Easter Afternoon with Our Wonderful Mums!
We were delighted to welcome our mums into school for a truly egg-citing Easter afternoon – and what a fantastic time we all had!
Across the school, classrooms were buzzing with creativity, laughter and teamwork. In Reception, children and their mums had great fun taking part in a joyful Easter egg hunt, hunting high and low for hidden surprises and celebrating every discovery together. In Year 1 and 2, children made baskets for their deliciously chocolatey Easter nests.
In Year 3 and 4, creativity took centre stage as families designed and made their very own Easter bonnets. From bright spring flowers to cheeky chicks and bouncing bunnies, the finished hats were absolutely egg-ceptional! The highlight was seeing everyone proudly parading around the playground in their wonderful creations – smiles all around!
Meanwhile, in Year 5 and 6, things got competitive with a brilliant STEM challenge. Working in pairs, children and their mums used spaghetti and marshmallows to build towers strong enough to hold a Creme Egg on top! There was fantastic teamwork, problem-solving and plenty of excitement as towers grew taller (and occasionally toppled!) across the classrooms.
It was a truly special afternoon, filled with creativity, collaboration and lots of happy memories. Thank you to all the mums who joined us – we loved sharing such a fun and festive experience with you all!
