Class RNO
Welcome to RNO
We are a welcoming, eager, and hardworking group in Reception, and we are excited for the year ahead! Our teacher, Nana Obeng-Sabah, who educates, guides, and inspires us to learn is supported by several dedicated adults, including our Senior Support staff, Gentiana Aga.
Our main focus this year will be Phonics which will help us to read some amazing stories. Please read with us every day at home and ask us questions about the story, so that we can help both our imagination and vocabulary to grow! We will also be writing our names, counting to 20 and changing our clothes by ourselves. We are making new friends and learning to be independent whilst listening to a wide range of stories and learning lots of nursery rhymes.
Our Maths lessons will help us develop our understanding of numbers to 20 as well as our number bonds to 5 and 10. This will also help us grow in confidence when adding and taking away using objects.
We’re so excited for a new start in our education journey and looking forward to learning even more about the world around us. Also, we will be learning about the seasons, different countries and visiting local parks and the forest.
