Class RJM
Welcome to RJM!
We are a kind, friendly, and hardworking class, excited to be in Reception this year. Our teacher, Jo Mathias, leads us with care, and we are very fortunate to have the support of many wonderful adults, especially our Senior Support staff member, Gentiana Aga.
This year, we're focusing on developing our Phonics skills so we can dive into some amazing stories. Please help us by reading with us every day at home and asking questions about the story. This will boost our imagination and help our vocabulary grow! We're also working hard on writing our name and learning to change our clothes all by ourselves.
Making new friends and becoming more independent are big goals for us. We're also enjoying listening to a wide range of stories, learning many nursery rhymes, and singing songs together.
In Maths, we’re developing our understanding of numbers up to 20 and learning our number bonds to 10. This will give us the confidence to add and take away using objects, making Maths fun and exciting!
We’re looking forward to exploring the world around us, learning how to take care of it, and discovering more about the seasons, different countries, and even going on trips to local parks and the forest. It’s going to be a fantastic year of learning and growing together!
