Welcome to 5JL!
Our class teacher is Mr Jackson Lewis and and our senior support staff continues to be Mrs Krupali Trivedi, along with an extended team of educational assistants. You can find us working hard and supporting each other in Room 15.
This year as part of our immersive learning we will be learning about World War II, Stone Age to Iron Age and The Secrets of the Amazon. We will learn through collaborating, engaging in enriching opportunities and using creative independence.
Throughout the year we will confidently write for a range of genres, explore a plethora of high level texts, both fiction and non-fiction and develop a clear and purposeful speaking voice when sharing opinions and communicating with members of our community. In maths, we will discover how to convert fractions, decimals and percentages, expand upon our reasoning and problem solving skills, explore the world of algebra and embed quick recall of multiplication.
Our WE CARE charter will set the morals and ethos of the classroom. We will ensure that the wellbeing of ourselves and others, our self-expression, our courteous nature, the acceptance and celebration of differences, respect and our drive for excellence is at the forefront of our learning. This will ensure that we all become confident, respectful, modern British citizens who are prepared to be an aspirational contributor in the global community.
We are all very excited about the busy year ahead and are looking forward to taking you all along on our journey and being able to share and celebrate all that we have learnt together!
St. Stephen’s WE CARE Rights and Responsibilities
At St. Stephen’s Federation, we believe that all our pupils, staff and school community share the same WE CARE rights.
The class rules are created and agreed with all the children in the class.
