St.Stephen's School

Class 5CC

Introducing 5CC - an amazing class full of aspirational and unique children. Their teacher is Connie Cooper, who is delighted to be teaching Year 5 again. Connie is ably supported by the indispensable Jash and Bindu, both of whom bring a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Year 5 is a notable year because the children are entering Upper Key Stage 2. It’s a chance for them to take on new responsibilities and to develop into inspirational role models when they move up to Year 6. We are all really looking forward to this academic year and all the learning ahead of us, both inside and outside the classroom. We will be tackling exciting new topics across the curriculum; in Maths we’ll be learning about decimals, angles and algebra, whilst in English we’ll be honing our creative writing skills and performing poetry. We will also be immersing ourselves in Space & Earth, the Vikings & Anglo-Saxons, map reading and Henry Moore’s WW2 shelter paintings, amongst many other fascinating themes.

In every area of school life we will follow our WE CARE charter; we will always try our hardest, we will be respectful to our peers and adults and we will look after ourselves, both physically and mentally. We will make the most of every day and do it with a smile on our faces.

We are in Room 16 so please come and say hello and see our fantastic work.

5CC Class Charter

Each class at St. Stephen’s Primary School will complete a class charter, outlining agreements for members of the class and duty bearers (adults). All pupils are entitled to receive their rights. This class charter will form the basis of a display in class, be displayed on the class website page and also be used for class disciplinary matters.
