Class 4EC
Hello and welcome to 4EC!
We are excited to begin this school year together. 4EC is a courteous, thoughtful, and enthusiastic class, ready to give our very best each day. Our classroom is Room 15, and our teacher this year is Eva Calle Rubio, supported by Lalita Varsani and Mehreen Sarwar, our senior support staff members.
This year, we will continue to strengthen our English and Maths skills while exploring fascinating topics across the curriculum, always using our creative thinking to imagine possibilities and our critical thinking to question, analyse, and problem-solve. We will learn about the Suffragettes and other inspiring women in History, create mixed-media artwork inspired by Godfried Donkor, and investigate the dramatic power of volcanoes in Geography. Our class texts will include The Boy at the Back of the Class, Shackleton’s Journey, and How to Train Your Dragon.
Maths will focus on fluency, problem-solving, and times tables practice in preparation for the national screening, helping everyone feel confident and ready to succeed.
Another exciting highlight of Year 4 is our swimming programme at the London Aquatic Centre, where we will learn vital swimming skills and water safety, building both confidence and resilience.
In 4EC, we will also demonstrate all the qualities of our WE CARE school ethos. We will protect the wellbeing of ourselves and others, express our ideas with confidence, show kindness and respect, and always work hard to reach our full potential.
We are truly looking forward to a year full of curiosity, creativity, challenge, and new learning opportunities. Together, we will make 4EC a fun, supportive, and inspiring place to learn!
