Class 2PM
Welcome to Class 2PM
Our class is full of kind, enthusiastic and curious children who can’t wait to start our learning journey this year.
Our class teacher is Patrick McKoen and our senior support staff is Jash Halai, we also have a team of great additional adults, all working in Room 8.
Alongside our learning, we will uphold our school’s WE CARE ethos. We will demonstrate these values in all that we do. Everyday we strive to embody our schools WE CARE charter, both in the classroom and around the school.
WE CARE stands for:
Wellbeing - Expression
Courtesy - Acceptance - Respect - Excellence
In our English curriculum we will be focusing on reading, looking at many fiction and nonfiction key texts. These are all accessible on the school website. This will be combined with a wide range of opportunities to practise our creative, writing and speaking skills.
In Maths, we will be focusing on an understanding of: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, as well as place value. We will also be investigating measurements and the properties of shapes throughout the year.
We are looking forward to learning about all the topics in our immersive curriculum, such as: The Seaside, I am a Warrior, the Great Fire of London, as well as Global Heroes.
On top of exciting parent workshops, we will be taking part in many immersive experiences, such as a skateboarding workshop and a visit to Chalkwell Beach.
