St.Stephen's School

Class 2EW

Welcome to Class 2EW

We are a class filled with enthusiastic, conscientious and caring children who are looking forward to a year of new learning and inspiring moments.

Our teachers are Esther Williams and Phoebe Walton. We are also lucky to be working with Lalita Varsani, our senior support staff member along with a range of additional adults. You can find us in Room 7.

Throughout our learning, we will uphold our school’s WE CARE ethos. We will demonstrate these values in all that we do. WE CARE stands for:

In English, reading will be at the core of all that we do. We will focus on key texts throughout the year, linking a range of writing, speaking and creative opportunities to these books. You can find a list of these books on the school website.

In Maths, we will secure our knowledge of place value and the four operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. We will also focus on measurements and the properties of shapes.

We have an exciting immersive learning curriculum to explore. Topics will include The Great Fire of London, The Seaside, Australia and its surrounding ocean, Roman Warriors and Global Heroes.

As part of our immersive learning offer, we will have the opportunity to take part in a skateboarding and scootering workshop alongside attending the Christmas pantomime at the Kenneth Moore Theatre. We will also be hosting a fun and creative workshop which parents will not want to miss!

St. Stephen’s WE CARE Rights and Responsibilities

At St. Stephen’s Federation, we believe that all our pupils, staff and school community share the same WE CARE rights.

The class rules are created and agreed with all the children in the class.
