Welcome to Class 2EC, where inspiration and learning go hand in hand!

Led by Eva Calle Rubio, our class thrives with the support of a wonderful team of additional adults, who are dedicated to creating an environment where every child can flourish. Our senior support staff is Jash Halai. You’ll find us in Room 7.

Our classroom is home to a group of enthusiastic and caring children, each eager to embark on a journey of discovery and growth. Ensuring our wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. This year, we are committed to becoming independent, responsible citizens of St. Stephen’s and contributing positively to the wider community, The year ahead promises to be both exciting and engaging, filled with opportunities to learn, grow and reach our full potential.

At the heart of our learning experience is our school’s WE CARE ethos, which stands for Wellbeing, Expression, Courtesy, Acceptance, Respect, and Excellence. These values will guide us in everything we do, helping us to create a positive and supportive classroom environment.

Reading is central to our English curriculum, where we will delve into key texts that will inspire our speaking, listening, writing and creativity. A list of these books can be found on the school website.

In mathematics, we will explore the fundamentals of place value and the four operations- addition, subtraction, multiplication and division- while also diving into topics like measurements and the properties of shapes.

Our immersive learning curriculum promises to take us on exciting adventures through topics such as ‘The Great Fire of London’, ‘The Seaside’, ‘Australia and its Surrounding Ocean ‘, ‘Roman Warriors’, and ‘Global Heroes’. Each topic opens up new words of knowledge and imagination.

We are excited to make the most of every learning opportunity this year and can’t wait to see the incredible progress our class will make.
