Class 1JW

In 1JW we are lucky to have two teachers – Ms Jennifer Ward and Miss Juwaria Hassan – who work together to make our learning exciting and fun. We are really looking forward to being part of Key Stage 1, where we are now becoming more grown up and independent learners.

We do lots of fun phonics to help us become confident readers and writers, and we are learning how to take more responsibility for our own work and choices. This year we are excited to explore a wide range of topics, including Diwali, the lives of kings and queens, UK geography, and many other fascinating themes.

In Year 1 we also continue with continuous provision, which means we can explore and learn both indoors and outdoors. This helps us to be creative, curious, and independent while still having lots of fun as we learn and grow together.
