St.Stephen's School

Bubble Closure Learning

Should your child’s year group bubble need to collapse and isolate for 2 weeks, you will be provided
with work daily.

Reception
and KS1 pupils will find their work on the school website. Each child will be provided with a workbook to complete their work. Teachers will be in contact through planned phone calls and check-ins over the course of the two weeks.

KS2
will access their work through Google Classroom (see video guidance). The children are all used to working in this format and it allows feedback from the teacher about progress and sustaining their learning.

Should you not be able to access the work online, we will be providing your child with a workbook and physical resources for completion.

SEND:
Children who are in receipt of High Needs Funding (HNF), or have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) will receive a personalised learning programme to follow for the 10 days of self-isolation. Your child’s teacher will contact you directly with this programme for your child.

For many of our
children who receive this extra support, communication is at the centre of all our learning programmes. Please ensure you are exploring opportunities to expand communication daily. Specialist resources to aid this can be found on the school website.

If you have any questions or queries to do with your child’s work during this time, please telephone the school (020 8472 7575) or email info@st-stephens.newham.sch.uk and your query will be directed to the relevant person.
