8.Behaviour

At St. Stephen’s Federation, we believe that all our pupils, staff and school community share the same rights. Last year we became a Level 2 UNICEF Rights Respecting School, with the values of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) at its heart. Our school rights are outlined below.

Wellbeing	To be safe, happy and healthy.
Expression	To share our views and listen to others.
Courtesy	To be polite and courteous at all times.
Aspiration	To aspire and achieve to our potential and beyond.
Respect	To be respected, respect others, ourselves and our environment.
Equity	Everyone receives the same treatment.

Classes then create class charters, displaying their class rules to help them achieve their rights.

The school also has a School Behaviour Policy. Parents are expected to support, promote and reinforce school policy with regard to our high expectations of children’s behaviour. All staff are dedicated to the welfare, health and safety of our children and share responsibility for their pastoral care.
